Task 2: Copy Products to the New Software Revision
Task 2: Copy Products to the New Software Revision
You can modify the contents of a new software revision by copying products from a
software input, revision, or group on any target to the New Software Revision window.
DSM/SCM highlights products in the source when you select them. You can also delete
products from the new software revision or copy:

All products from a particular source item

An entire software input from the archive

Individual products

Only products that changed in the source

Only products in the source but not the new revision

Products in both the source and the new revision

Products, including SPRs, from selected software inputs

Products from other software revisions
To copy products to the new software revision:
1. Check that a New Software Revision window is open.
2. Copy the products to the new revision:
a. From the Software in Archive window, select a software input containing the
new software that you just received.

To copy all new and changed products, click Copy to.
Select Copy to when you are installing a SUT.
DSM/SCM selects the products in the RVU that are licensed for your
configuration and copies them to the new revision, replacing all products
already in the revision.

To copy only matching products that changed, select Edit>Copy matches
to.
DSM/SCM displays the Confirmation dialog box.
b. Click Continue.
DSM/SCM displays the NonSUT Products dialog box.
