Managing Software Input Groups or Product Groups

When only certain inputs (such as SPRs) are displayed, some input groups that
actually have members might appear empty if they do not contain any of the
selected input types, and others might appear to be missing members. You specify
the inputs to display from the View Software By dialog box. See

Limiting the

Software Inputs to Display

on page 7-10.

In the Input Group List and Product Group List dialog boxes:

Product group members are listed in alphanumeric order by product name.

Input group members are listed in descending order of date received.

To select a group, click the group name to select all the members of that group. You
can open the group and select or deselect single items in the group.

Checking Groups

The text in the Planner Interface buttons depends on the type of group: input or
product. To view all software input or product groups you defined and, when a group is
open, all products that are members of that group:

1. In the Software in Archive window, click Show inputs/products by group. The

display changes to include, in alphabetical order, the names of any groups you
have defined, with group members indented under the group name.

The Show inputs/products by group is a toggle. Clicking Show inputs/products
by group
, changes the name to Show by inputs/products. Clicking Show by
inputs/products
returns the display to Show inputs/products by group.

2. Select Groups>Input/Products groups list.... DSM/SCM displays the

Input/Product Group List dialog box, which lists the input or product groups you
have defined. To show:

The members of a group, select one or more groups; then click Expand
groups
.

Only the group name, select one or more groups; then click Collapse groups.

A plus sign (+) preceding a group name indicates that the group has members. A
minus sign (-) indicates that the group is expanded to show its members.
