Task 1: Changing Default Settings Using INITENV
For information on how to change the system name and number:
Checking the Site ID
HP assigns the site ID.
To identify the site ID for this system:
> fup copy $volume.SYSnn.rlseid
volume
is the name of the volume
SYSnn
is the SYSnn subvolume.
For example:
> fup copy $system.sys00.rlseid
Q08 020097 D48.00
The site ID in this example is 020097.
Task 1: Changing Default Settings Using INITENV
Use this procedure for both host systems and target systems. You can use the change
option to:
Inform DSM/SCM of a change to the system name or number. For more
information, refer to
Changing the System Name and Number
on page 5-2. Then
use INITENV change option to configure DSM/SCM to recognize the new name
and number. After you rename a host system, you must reinitialize all the targets it
manages to update them for the new host name before performing any DSM/SCM
tasks on them.
Change a host system to a target system.
Change the host system for a target system.
Change the DSM/SCM user ID.
