Reinitializing DSM/SCM
2. Designate volumes to be used as scratch on this target system. See Updating
Target Volume Usage (ZPHITMI and ZPHIHMI) on page 17-12.
3. Add operators and database administrators for this target system. See Setting
Security for Target Database Administrators (ZPHITMI) on page 5-12.

Task 3.1: Update the Target System Profile
___ Run the ZPHITMI:
> Volume $DSMSCM.ZDSMSCM

> RUN STARTSCM

> RUN ZPHITMI
___ Log on to the ZPHITMI. Enter dsmscm-user-id,
password, and press F1
___ Select System Maintenance. 1 and press F1
___ If physical target system, enter target System Name.

If host system, enter host System Name .

___ Enter Target System Site ID . To identify the site ID, see
Checking the Site ID on page 5-3.
Set by HP.
___ Enter CPU Type:
TNSE = Intel Itanium
TNSR = RISC
TNS = CISC
TNSR
___ If physical target system, enter the host system that
manages this target. \host name
___ Tape Unload Flag set? Indicate whether DSM/SCM
should unload tapes when finished. Yes
___ Safeguard Required Flag set? Indicate whether
Safeguard must be running whenever DSM/SCM places
files. No, leave unchecked.
___ Use network connection? Yes
___ Submit changes. Shift-F2
___ Return to main TMI menu. F16
