Task 3: Check the Product Version Details of the New Revision
From the New Software Revision window:
1. List the product files. See Listing Products in a Revision on page 8-6
2. Check the product version details (applied SPRs). Checking the Product Version
Details on page 8-8.
Task 4: Edit the Software Revision Notes
To create revision notes for a new revision, DSM/SCM copies the notes from the
configuration on which the new software revision is based. Edit these notes to reflect
changes in the new software revision. Adding text to the existing notes creates a
history of revisions to the software. To edit the revision notes:
1. In the New Software Revision window, click Edit revision notes. DSM/SCM
displays a Revision Notes dialog box. The dialog box shows the notes previously
entered for the revision on which the new one is based.
2. Add a description of the changes to the existing text.
3. Click OK.
After you update the software revision notes, proceed to Section 9, Building and
Applying a New Configuration .
