System Profile

To update the default values, review the system profile information and change
as needed. See

Table 17-2, System Profile Information,

on page 17-5.

To delete a system from DSM/SCM, press F6

To view the profile for the next system in the list, press F3.

4. For host systems, press Shift-F4 to list all the target systems managed by

DSM/SCM. Use PgUp and PgDn to page through the list.

5. Press Shift-F2 to enter any changes.

6. Press F16 to return to the main menu.

TNSE for Intel Itanium processors

TNSR for RISC processors

TNS for CISC processors

Default for this system is

Use network
connection

Use this option to write the activation
package and snapshot to disk. You
must select this option for a logical
target on a host system. You can
select this option for a target system if
it has an Expand connection available
for DSM/SCM to use. If you do not
select this option, the activation
package and snapshot are written to
tape.

Select or clear
the check box.

Y or N

Safeguard is
required to be
running/Safeguar
d required flag

Use this option to require that
Safeguard must be running whenever
DSM/SCM places files. This option is
usually not checked.

Select or clear
the check box.

Host system that

Tape unload flag
