Managing Software Input Groups or Product Groups
Creating a Product Group
To create a new group containing selected products:
1. Display a list of products by doing one of:
In the Software in Archive window, double-click an input.
In the Software in Archive window, select an input; then select Products>List
products....
In the Configurations Revisions window, double-click a revision to open it.
In the Configuration Revisions window, select a revision and click New
software revision....
2. Click Show products by group. The button name (and function) changes to
Show by products. (It might already be changed.)
3. Select one or more products.
4. Select Groups>Form group....
5. Enter the name of the new group in the New group name field.
6. Click OK.
Checking Existing Groups
You can check all software input or product groups you defined:
Groups are listed alphabetically.
Groups are listed together on top of the list.
Inputs in a group are listed in descending order of date received. For example:
G06.00+SPRs
SPR T9050 G03 AAA 1999-11-04
RVU G03.00 1999-10-31
T6002 SPRs
SPR T6002 G03 AAC 1999-12-12
SPR T6002 G03 AAB 1999-11-25
SPR T6002 G03 AAA 1999-10-15
The order of input groups might change each time you add a new member to a
group.
Products displayed by name are listed in the order specified in the View Products
By dialog box. For more information, see
Inputs that do not belong in a group are listed from the most recent software
received on top to the oldest software received.
