2 Lenze specifications
The »PLC Designer« is based on the »CoDeSys« (Controller Development System) IEC
development environment of the company 3S - Smart Software Solutions GmbH,
Kempten.
In contrast to »CoDeSys« the »PLC Designer« does not support the following
functions/hardware:
• CanDevice (CANopen Slave)
• DeviceNet modules
• Encoder and sercos interfaces
• CoDeSys HMI
• CoDeSys Target-Visualization
2.1 Migration of the Lenze targets
In control technology, Lenze targets support the communication of the interlinked
field devices via the bus lines CANopen (Logic) and CANopen (Motion).
Information on establishing communication via the bus lines CANopen (Logic) and
CANopen (Motion) can be found in the " CANopen control technology"
communication manual.
2.1.1 Updating the Lenze target "V5 Logic" to "V6 Logic with Motion"
Step V5 Logic -> V6 Logic V5 Logic -> V6 Logic with Motion
