SPANNING-TREE PATH-COST
Syntax
spanning-tree path-cost path-cost
Parameter
path-cost
Specifies the cost of a port to the root bridge. The range is 1 to
200,000,000. By default, the path costs are 2,000 for 10Gbps ports
and 1400 for 40Gbps ports. When MSTP is enabled, specify the
cost of a port to the CIST regional route.
Mode
Port Interface mode
Description
Use this command to specify the cost of a port to the root bridge.
Note
This command is applicable only when RSTP or MSTP is enabled.
When MSTP is enabled, this command sets the value to the CIST
(instance 0).
To restore the path cost to the default value, use the NO SPANNING-
TREE PATH-COST command.

Example
This example sets the path cost on port 1.0.2 to 2,500:
awplus> enable
awplus# configure terminal
awplus(config)# interface port1.0.12
awplus(config-if)# spanning-tree path-cost 2500
