Parameter Descriptions
show ip pim neighbor
This command displays discovered Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) neighbors.

show ip pim neighbor [type number]

Parameters Descriptions
Address IP address of the next‐hop router.
Interface Interface type and number that is configured to run PIM.
Nbr Count Number of PIM neighbors discovered through this interface.
Hello Intvl The interval between Hello messages. The default is 30 seconds.
DR IP address of the designated router on the LAN.
type Interface type.
number Interface number.
Neighbor Address IP address of the PIM neighbor.
Interface Interface type and number on which the neighbor is reachable.
DR Priority The DR priority of the neighbor.
Uptime Interval in hours, minutes, and seconds the entry has been in the PIM
neighbor table.
Expires Interval in hours, minutes, and seconds until the entry will be removed
from the IP multicast routing table.
Mode Mode in which the interface is operating.
(DR) Indicates that this neighbor is a designated router on the LAN.
