Configuration
Menu The console port has all the capabilities necessary to configure the communications
platform for all applications and supported protocols. The specific parameters for
each individual protocol are documented in their own separate chapters.
Initializing the
MultiPro Unit
To initialize the MultiPro unit for configuration:
1 Press and hold the CONFIG button then press and release the RESET button. After
the MODE LED flashes amber, release the CONFIG button.
2 Connect the terminal to the Supervisory port
3 Press the Enter key to sign on to the terminal.
4 Press 0 to access the configuration mode.
Steps 5 through 11 are responses to menu selections that must be done before (and
after download) the unit is put in service.
5 Press E to edit.
6 Enter 000.01 to specify the local unit.
7 Enter D for the default.
8 Enter Y for Yes to confirm.
9 Enter S to save the configuration.
10 Enter M to return to the Main Menu.
11 Enter 7 to logoff.
12 Turn power to the unit Off. Turn power to the unit On.
13 Press Enter.
14 Configure the unit as desired.
The first selection on the main menu is the Configuration Menu. To select this
function, enter a 0 (zero) after the main menu is displayed. The following menu is
displayed.
