Parameters
Line Module
This field indicates the line module number of the port being displayed. Entering a
different line module number and pressing F10 transfers the screen to the same
port on the new line module.
Port
The port field indicates the number of the port being displayed. A different port
may be selected by entering its number here and pressing F10.
Packet Size
This parameter represents the size, in bytes, of the data field in a packet. This
parameter is effective at Layer 3 and has no influence on the frame relay standard
used. A packet size set as variable (VAR) implies that a message is sent in one
packet without fragmentation. The maximum packet size is 4096 bytes. For
applications using public frame relay where the maximum frame size is limited to
1800 bytes, the variable with maximum (VARM) setting should be chosen. In this
case, segmentation of the message is applied only to messages that are greater than
1800 bytes. The selections are 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, VAR (up to 4096), and
VARM (up to 1800).
Restart Request Timer
This timer represents the amount of time, in seconds, the unit will wait after
sending a restart request packet before declaring the port off-line. The selections
are 1 to 255, 15.
