X.25 Channel
List

For most applications, it is not necessary to enter a channel list. The TXPORT unit
operates exactly like the frame relay ports. The X.25 Access List then has exactly
the same function as the frame relay endpoint list.

Line

Module

This field indicates the line module number of the port being displayed. Entering a
different line module number and pressing F10 transfers the program to the same
port on the new line module.

Port

The port field indicates the number of the port being displayed. A different port
may be selected by entering its number here and pressing F10.

Terminal/Host

Address

The channel list contains an entry for each station that uses the X.25 link. The
address of each station is entered in this field. When performing a conversion on a
terminal port, the connection address should be entered here. The channel list is
optional if TXPORT units are located at both ends.

Default

Connect

Name

The TXPORT unit sends proprietary data in the user data field of the call request
packet. This data contains the address of the station and the name of destination
host. When this information is not available (i.e., a call request from a
non-TXPORT device), the unit checks the default connect name field for a
destination. This field is normally blank and is used only for routing of
non-TXPORT calls.
