Circuit Configuration Menu
This brings the program to the IP Circuit parameters menu which is explained on
page 294. To access the IP Circuit parameters menu, select Y and press F10.
Other Parameters Menu
This section is reserved for all other parameters that a user may want to set.
Usually, if parameters Enable IP Stack Only through OSPF Router ID are
configured, the router should work with the basic default configuration. This menu
is explained on page 298.
IP Parameters
Check Spoofing
This is used to increment a counter when two distinct IP addresses map to the
same physical hardware address. This is for security matters. This feature may be
used if the network manager wants to be aware when one machine claims to be
another. The default value is No.
ARP Time To Live
This is the time in seconds that the associated MAC address to and from the IP
Address is kept in a table when an IP address is not used. This parameter ranges
from 1 to 65535 and is used to avoid memory waste when an address is rarely
used. The default value is 360.
IP Time to Live
This is the time, in seconds, the datagram is allowed to remain in the internet
system. This parameter ranges from 1 to 65535. It is basically a way to avoid
packets traveling around forever on the network even if a routing table becomes
corrupted and a router routes the datagrams in a circle. The default value is 30.
IP Forwarding
This parameter is useful for sending routing information to the network but not
have any packets to route from one interface to the other. The default value is Yes.
RIP Parameters
RIP Intervals
This is the number of seconds between routing information packets. It ranges from
1 to 65535. A default value of 30 is standard.
RIP Import Metric
This software version does not use this parameter.
RIP Domain
Any RIP packet received with a Domain Number different than the one configured
in this field is discarded. This parameter ranges from 1 to 65535. All RIP packets
to transmit have this value in their domain field. By default, the domain is 0 for all
routers.
Clear IP ROUTER Application
This option clears the IP Router Configuration from the TXPORT device.
