Trusted Neighbors

Table Parameters

The Trusted Neighbors menu (Figure 18-9) can be used to store RIP information
only from a specific router. This allows the router to reject any RIP information
coming from non-Trusted Neighbors. Only information coming from Trusted
Neighbors is kept by the router.

To add or modify trusted neighbors from the main trusted neighbors menu, press F3
or F2 and Figure 18-6 appears. To list all configured trusted neighbors, press F4.

Defaults are shown underlined.

Line Module

This field indicates the line module number of the port currently displayed.
Entering a different line module number and pressing F10 transfers the screen to
the same port on the new line module.

Trusted Neighbor Number

The Trusted Neighbor Number must be unique and range from 1 to 255.

IP Address of Trusted Neighbor

This is the IP Address of the trusted device. See Table 18-1 on page 295 for
reserved and available IP addresses.
