Offline Delay Retry
This is the time, in seconds, the unit waits between attempts to poll a station that is
marked offline. The selections are 1 to 255, 30.
End to End Protocol Conversion
This parameter will be used to specify that a Non-Uniscope host port is connected
to the Uniscope terminal port. When set to (Y) yes, the proper conversion will take
place. For now, this parameter should always be set to N (no). The selections are Y
(yes) and N (no).
Maximum Select before Poll
This value represents the consecutive number of selects that are sent to a device
before normal polling resumes. This prevents a locking condition where a terminal
constantly NAKs a select because it has a message to send. The selections are 1 to
255.
Active If DSR/DCD
The DSR/DCD parameter determines what leads must be present for the port to be
active. The physical DTE/DCE setting of the port also effects how these leads are
interpreted as shown in Table 9-2. No polling occurs on the port until the selected
requirement is me
t
.
Message to Poll Delay
The poll delay timer is used to specify the time the unit pauses between sending a
message and beginning the next poll.
Poll And Select Timeout
This is the time, in milliseconds, the controller waits for a response to either a poll
or a select. The selections are 0 to 655350, 3000.
Maximum Messages Queued
The value in this field indicates the total number of messages that can be
accumulated for a station before a NAK is transmitted to the sending device. The
selections are 1 to 32, 4.
Activity Timer
The Activity Timer is the time, in minutes, that no data can be present on the port
before the unit disconnects the line. This is used primarily in dial-up applications.
Line disconnection is done by lowering the DTR signal for 500 milliseconds and
raising it again. Entering 0 disables this feature. The selections are 0 to 255.
