Copy Port Parameters
The three fields on this line work together to allow copying an existing port
configuration to the current port.
Configuration.
The number of the source configuration to copy from entered in
this field. This can be any existing configuration, current or otherwise.
Line Module.
Enter the line module number of the port that is to be copied.
Port.
The number of the source port to be copied from is entered here.
After these fields have been filled, press F10. This redisplays the port using the
copied values.
Link Speed
The Link Speed parameter allows setting the port speed in bits per second. When
this parameter is selected, the communications platform requires selecting from a
list of speeds. A baud rate must be selected from this menu. If the unit is running
at a speed not listed here, contact TXPORT technical support. The selections are
1200, 2400, 4800, 7200, 9600, 12000, 14400, 16800, 19200, 24000, 28800, 38400,
56000, and 64000.
Link Interface
The Link Interface parameter specifies the interface type used to communicate
with the external device. This is not used for the 9111. The selections are V35 and
RS232.
Link Termination
The Link Termination parameter specifies the termination type used to
communicate with the external device. This is not used for the 9111. The
selections are DCE and DTE.
RTS/CTS Control
The RTS /CTS Control parameter determines how the communications platform
reacts to the RTS and CTS signals. The selections are Dynamic, Fixed On, and
Floating.
Link Active
The Link Active parameter instructs the communications platform to determine
whether a port is considered active based on the status of the DSR and DCD
signals. The selections are DSR & DCD, DSR only, and Don't Care.
