X.25 Access List

Copying from different port types is not allowed.

Access

Address

This field is used to enter the address of a remote X.25 device. This number is
assigned by the vendor, if the circuit goes a public data network. The access
address must be digits only and can not be more than 15 digits long, including the
subaddress from the channel list.

Primary

Access

Name

This is a user-defined name that represents a remote X.25 device and is assigned
the number in the Access Address field. The access name can be perceived as a
destination. In a TXPORT-to-TXPORT configuration it represents the name of a
host port that is remote from the local unit.

Alternate

Access

Name

The alternate access name is used in configurations where alternate routing of X.25
calls is possible. One example would be a triangle network. When used, this field
points to another X.25 link where calls would be routed in the event the current
link went down. All calls are transferred with their original destination (primary
access name) intact. This ensures the station of re-establishing a connection with
its current host.
