If there is a fatal self-test error during bootup, an error code appears and
the PASS and LOAD message are not displayed.

During normal operation after bootup, the faceplate displays Leader (L)
or Follower (F) and the number of registered sets. For example, ’L027’
means Leader of 27 sets
