NTAK09 1.5 Mb DTI/PRI card
The transmitter takes the binary data (dual unipolar) from the PCM
transceiver and produces bipolar pulses for transmission to the external
digital facility. The DS1 transmit equalizer enables the cabling distance
to extend from the card to the DSX-1 or LD-1. Equalizers are switch
selectable through dip-switches. The settings are shown in
"NTAK09 switch settings" (page 774)

Receiver
The receiver extracts data and clock from an incoming data stream and
outputs clock and synchronized data. At worst case DSX-1 signal levels,
the line receiver operates correctly with up to 655 feet of ABAM cable
between the card and the external DS1 signal source.

Connector pinout
The connection to the external digital carrier is through a 15-position male
D-type connector. See
