The

Fade

(Master fade) button: This button can be used for an emergency

fade to black and silent audio transition.

When in black, a new source can be selected using the

Program (PGM)

monitor. To move the new

source to Program, press the

Fade

button again.

Selecting Transition Effects

Transition effects include wipes and digital video effects (DVE).

Wipes

In order for Wipe effects to be available for selection by the operator, Wipe
effects must be defined in the Configuration Editor application and then be
assigned to the channel that is currently in control of the control panel. No
Wipe effect selection will be possible if Wipe effects are not defined for the
current channel. For more information about defining Wipe transitions, see
the Wipe Transition section of the Maestro Installation and Service manual.

Wipe transitions are selected by using the buttons in the Effect buttons
group, which is shown below in

Figure 115 on page 188
