The Next Transition Button Group

The

NEXT TRANSITION

button group provides extensive control over what

happens when a Take occurs. For example, if only the

Down Stream

button

is enabled, then only the selected downstream keys will transition when
the next Take happens. Each of these buttons is explained below.

Figure 109. The SOURCE CONTROL and NEXT TRANSITION Button Groups

The

Up Stream

button will enable, and disable, all upstream transitions.

These Upstream transitions are the transitions between the PGM, PST, AUX
busses, including Wipes. The transitions include the four upstream keys
and all four audio mixers.

The

Down Stream

button will enable and disable all downstream transitions.

Only the four downstream keys are affected by this button.

The

DVE

button will enable and disable DVE effects. If a DVE effect is active

and the DVE button is turned off then Maestro will only operate on the
PGM Effect window in the currently active DVE effect.

Rate Selection

The

Slow,

Medium

,

Fast

and

Cut

buttons in the

RATE

button group determine

the rate at which a transition takes place. The time is displayed in seconds:
frames. This time that is associated with each rate is determined by entries
in the Configuration Editor Channel Setup table.
