Parameters and Values

GPIO pin number. Range is from 1 to a value that depends on the hardware.
New Socket modem support GPIO0 to GPIO3.
New MTPCIE‐x support GPIO1 to GPIO3.

setting:

No meaning if

=0 ‐ INPUT
     ‐ output pin cleared to 0 (Low) if =1 ‐ OUTPUT
     ‐ no meaning if =2 ‐ ALTERNATE FUNCTION
     ‐ no meaning if =3 – TRISTATE PULL DOWN

No meaning if

=0 ‐ INPUT
     ‐ output pin set to 1 (High) if =1 ‐ OUTPUT
     ‐ no meaning if =2 ‐ ALTERNATE FUNCTION
     ‐ no meaning if =3 – TRISTATE PULL DOWN

Reports the read value from the input pin if

=0 ‐ INPUT
     ‐ Reports the read value from the input pin if =1 ‐ OUTPUT
     ‐ Reports a no meaning value if =2 ‐ ALTERNATE FUNCTION
     ‐ Reports a no meaning if =3 – TRISTATE PULL DOWN

GPIO pin direction
  0 ‐ pin direction is INPUT
  1 ‐ pin direction is OUTPUT
  2 ‐ pin direction is ALTERNATE FUNCTION. See Notes section.
  3 ‐ pin is set to PULL DOWN. See Notes section.

Notes

When =2 (and

is omitted) the command reports the direction and value of pin GPIO in the
format:

Current direction setting for the GPIO.

Logic value read from pin GPIO in the case the pin

is set to input.

Logic value present in output of the pin GPIO in the case the pin

is
currently set to output.

No meaning value for the pin GPIO in the case the pin

is set to
alternate function or Tristate pull down

"ALTERNATE FUNCTION" value is valid only for following pins:

GPIO4 ‐ alternate function is “RF Transmission Control”

GPIO5 ‐ alternate function is “RF Transmission Monitor”

GPIO6 ‐ alternate function is "Alarm Output" (see +CALA)

GPIO7 ‐ alternate function is "Buzzer Output" (see #SRP)

While using the pins in the alternate function, the GPIO read/write access to that pin is not accessible Avoid
access.
