Commissioning
Analog Scale = maximum analog input of field supply / 10V
3.
Set
Autotune Lmd to a value of 10.00. Confirm that the reference input of
the field supply is at its maximum value. Adjust the analog output scaling
parameter if necessary.
4.
Start the field supply and confirm that the field current goes to its
maximum value. If necessary, adjust the field supply to achieve a field
current slightly above rated.
5.
Stop the field supply. Assign variable
I Field Command in “Flux Control”
to the analog output used to control the field supply (e.g. ACB Port 1).
The setup of the field current reference is complete and you can proceed
with the tuning of the FluxSpeed regulator.
FluxSpeed Reg Auto-tuning [Synchronous Motor]
The tuning of the FluxSpeed regulator for a synchronous machine is determined
by following parameters:
1.
FlxReg Bandwidth in Flux Control
2.
Lm Rated in Motor Model
3.
T Rotor in Motor Model
4.
Lmd in Motor Model
5.
SpdReg Bandwidth in Speed Control
6.
Total Inertia in Speed Control
The FluxSpeed Regulator tuning function calculates parameters,
Lm Rated
(131),
T Rotor (132) in Motor Model Group and Total Inertia (82) in Speed
Control group. This is combined Auto-tuning for Flux and Speed regulator.
Flux Regulator
Flux Regulator Bandwidth should be set to the default value for almost all
applications.
Lm Rated, Lmd, T Rotor and Total Inertia are usually unknown and
must be measured. Although these motor parameters change with different
ATTENTION: Applying maximum field current to a stationary machine
for an extended period may damage the exciter. Adjust the current as
quickly as possible.
TIP
During this Autotune step the motor will run at speed set in auto tune speed Cmd.
The default setting is 30HZ. Make sure the motor rotates during this Autotune.
Motor rotation must be verified either physically or monitoring “FlxFbk
VoltModel” (P#342). It is possible that stall condition may calculate wrong tuning
parameters. If It happens, make sure the tuning parameters (Lm rated, T Rotor,
Total Inertia) are set to default before starting this tuning again.
