Change note heads
When Additional Score Options is selected in the Advanced preferences pane, you can
choose note heads to use for a variety of specific situations, such as percussion parts, harmonics,
tremolo, and for other special conditions.
Change note head attributes
Do one of the following:
m
Drag a note head from the Part box to the note you want to change.
m
Double-click a note, then choose a note head from the Note Head pop-up menu in the Note
Attributes window.

Change the size and horizontal position of notes
The default note size is set with the Size parameter in the Staff Style window. You can change the
size of individual notes, and also change their horizontal position in the score.
Change a note’s size
Do one of the following:
m
Drag the note upward (increase) or downward (decrease) with the Resize tool.
m
Double-click a note, then choose a size from the Size pop-up menu in the Note
Attributes window.
Change a note’s horizontal position
Do one of the following:
m
Drag the note horizontally with the Layout tool.
m
Double-click a note, then choose a value from the Horizontal Position pop-up menu in the Note
Attributes window.
