Transformation Path Control Menus
Krystal effects that require transformation path menus bring up the fol-
lowing soft buttons and soft knobs to let you control how your effect is
transformed. A typical Transformation Path control menu is shown below:
The following soft button and soft knob controls are used with this menu:
HOLD
— when
ON
, no motion interpolation occurs, which will make the key-
frame jump to the next keyframe location. The length of time that the effect
sits on each keyframe is set by the keyframe duration (default is 1 second).
PATH TYPE —
path type selections are:
CURVE
— causes a smooth and rounded path through the keyframe.
Paths are user adjustable via the soft knobs with path modifiers (ten-
sion, continuity, and bias) described below.
SMOOTH
— This feature is not currently implemented. If selected, a
curve path with default values will be used.
LINEAR
— applies a linear interpolation between keyframes; no acceler-
ation or deceleration is applied. Movement is mechanical having a con-
stant velocity.
S-LINEAR
— applies a linear or straight line motion between keyframes,
with acceleration and deceleration applied at the beginning and end of
each keyframe.
Tension, Continuity, and Bias Controls
When the
CURVE
parameter is selected, the three Soft Knobs provided are:
