Section 7 — Picture Menu
Freeze/Appearance
The Freeze/Appearance selections allow you to capture a still image from
a moving video and/or key source and modify it.
To access the Freeze/Appearance selections shown below, press the
RECUR-
SIVE MODE
soft button to select
FREEZE
, and press the
MODIFY
soft button to
select
APPEARNCE
.
APPEARNCE
— allows you to adjust the appearance of the freeze using the
selections and soft knobs described below:
PICTURE DECAY
— causes frozen image to fade over time.
STAR DECAY
— causes a random decay frozen image over time.
LOOP
—
ON
starts the recursive effect.
OFF
stops the recursive effect and
returns to live video.
Note that the
Freeze Video
button in the
Override
area of the panel acts just like
the
LOOP
soft button when
FREEZE
recursive mode is selected in the Input
Recursive menu. Pressing the
Freeze Video
button turns on or off whatever
freeze effect has already been set up in the Input Recursive menu. The other
buttons in the Override area (
Freeze Key
and
Hold Input
) are non-functional.
KEYFRAME RESET
—
ON
resets the loop by creating a new frozen image at each
keyframe that has Keyframe Reset on.
OFF
does not change the frozen
image at each keyframe.
STROBE TYPE
— sets type of strobe that will cause automatic capture of new
images or disables automatic capture. The selections and adjustments
below control the strobe cycle.
NONE
— turns strobe off (same as hard freeze).
TIME
— freezes a new image at an adjustable time interval.
