Channel Operations Menu
The Channel Operations feature allows the user to move keyframe data
from one channel (or wireframe) to another in the current effect, and
remove data from a channel. Copy, Swap, Delete, and Move channel oper-
ation functions are supported.
When data from a physical or wireframe channel is copied, swapped, or
moved to a Global or Camera channel, any non-transform data that may
exist will not be transferred. If the operation will result in the loss of this
data, the system will ask if the user wants to continue before it performs
this operation.
Illogical channel operations (for example, copying the same information to
and from the same channel) will be ignored.
Channel operations require that an Effect Manager be acquired and on-line.
If an Effect Manager is not acquired or on-line, channel operations will not
occur and no message will be displayed.
Undo is not supported at this time. However, the clipboard is not affected
by channel operations. You can copy and paste channel information to the
clipboard, perform your channel operation, and recover the original clip-
board data if necessary.
The Channel Operations menu is accessed by pressing the
File Oper.
top
menu button, and then pressing the
CHANNEL OPER. >
soft button.
Copy
The copy function copies keyframe data from one channel to another
channel in the current effect. The data in the original channel remains unaf-
fected.
