Easy Cube Menu
Easy Cube lets you build a three channel cube effect that gives the illusion
of having separate channels assigned to each of the object’s six faces. Easy
Cube accomplishes this by automatically translating channels to the oppo-
site face of a rotating object as the opposite face become visible.
The Easy Cube menu is accessed by pressing the
View
top menu button, and
then pressing the
EASY CUBE.
> soft button
Soft Buttons used with the Easy Cube submenu are:
EASY CUBE
— enables or disables the Easy Cube mode.
INVERT
(4 buttons)
— Inverts the front or back side of the channel vertically
or horizontally. This is useful to correcting the orientation of the faces of the
cube as it is rotated.
H/V REVERSE
— provides access to the H/V Reverse menu.
Using Easy Cube
1.
With Easy Cube
OFF
, create half of a “solid” object with three sides. One
way to do this is to delegate three channels, crop the pictures so they are
square, rotate the pictures 90° to each other, then use a Z axis source
locate to move the edges till they touch. The outward facing surfaces of
the object should be the Front sides of each picture.
2.
Turn Easy Cube
ON
for all three delegated channels used to create the
object.
3.
Spin the three sides as a group using a Global channel. If necessary,
invert the pictures on the front or back sides of the object using the Easy
Cube menu.
