Section 8 — Picture Frame Menu
Pattern/Appearance
Crop patterns have functions that control the transparency of the cropped
video as well as how soft the crop edges appear. The following menu shows
those functions.
Pattern Crop Appearance menu functions:
INVERT
— press to reverse the active video and the cropped pattern area.
WAVEFORM SHAPING
— controls the soft edge appearance.
ON
gives the soft edge an S-linear transition resulting in a more smooth
appearance.
OFF
gives the soft edge a Linear transition.
ROTATION MODE
— controls the rotation
SPEED
or
DIRECTION
of the crop pat-
tern.
Soft Knob controls available are:
SOFTNESS
— controls softness of the crop edges.
ROTATION/ROTATION SPEED
— controls speed or direction of rotation—
clockwise or counter-clockwise—depending on the mode selected.
OPACITY
— controls the transparency of the cropped area. This Opacity
controls both Box and Pattern crops’ opacity.
The final opacity of a channel is determined by multiplying the values for
Picture opacity, Crop opacity, Corner Pinning View Through opacity, and
Combiner Channel opacity. See Final Picture Opacity

information.
Note
When Borders are active, Border softness controls BOTH Border AND Crop
softness.
