Section 10 — View Menu
PERSP CLIP >
— controls clipping those portions of the image that extend out
of the screen “behind” the viewer
AXIS LOCK >
— locks the picture and the axis together so that during a trans-
form the axis keeps the same spatial relationship to the picture.
EASY CUBE>
— controls the automatic translation of the faces of a three-sided
shape as they rotate into view, creating the illusion of a solid, six-sided
cube.
Lighting Menu
If you have the Light Source Option installed, press the
View
button located
in the Top Menu subpanel. Then press the
LIGHTING>
soft button
in that
menu to bring up the menu shown below.
This menu provides two positionable light sources in 3D space that can
create HIGHLIGHTS (lighting without shading) or SHADING effects
(using one or two light sources). The light source can be the shape of a Bar,
Point, or Plane. The apparent reflection of the light source is directly related
to the physics of incident light reflecting on a surface.
Soft button and soft knob functions vary by lighting mode as described in
the following menus.
LIGHTING MODE
— there are three lighting modes and OFF:
HIGHLIGHT
— produces specular lighting effects in the form of Point, Bar
or Plane lighting as described below under
LIGHT TYPE
. Each highlight
can be a different color.
