Timeline
Independent Timelines
The Independent Timelines screen provides a different view of the effect.
This screen displays the Master Timeline as well as a timeline for every
active function in each delegated and enabled channel.
Like the Master Timeline screen, the Independent Timeline screen shows
the Effect Name, Effect Duration, Master Timeline, Time Cursor, Current
Time, Off-screen right and left indicators, Effect Register Number, and
Current Keyframe number. As in the Master Timeline screen, Time, Offset,
Zoom, Scrolling, and Selection Controls are provided. Independent Time-
lines are shown for both delegated and undelegated channels.
All active functions in a delegated channel are listed alphabetically below
the channel name—alphabetically because this screen focuses on values set
for a specific function.
Names for functions that are set at the current time (upper case) are differ-
entiated from names of functions currently on interpolated values (lower
case). The

’s are function keyframes as shown on your menu display.
The Independent Timeline screen shows function behavior over the length
of the effect rather than a single point in time. Because more information is
shown, fewer channels may be viewed at the same time. In fact, in the
example, Channels 1, 2, and 3 are delegated, but only Channel 1 fits on the
screen. Channel 1 may be undelegated which will bring Channels 2 and 3
into view, or the Scroll Knob or Page Up and Page Down buttons may be
used. The first channel delegate button pressed becomes the display
channel and appears at the top of the list. When scrolling, only channel and
function names move; the Master Timeline stays in place.
