Physical Description
Figure 1-15 illustrates a system in which the Krystal system is configured
to control the Switcher as a source selector. The Krystal DPM is configured
for separate Video, Key, and external Mask inputs. Both the Switcher and
Krystal systems are also under editing system control.

Figure 1-16 illustrates internal source switching, with the A and B Krystal
inputs fed via an external routing switcher. The routing switcher is con-
trolled manually. The Krystal system in this example does not control the
routing or production switchers. One set of router outputs feeds the Krystal
A channel inputs, and the other the B inputs. This Krystal system can auto-
matically switch between the currently selected router inputs when the
manipulated image rotates edge on within an effect. Both the Switcher and
Krystal systems are also under editing system control.
