Transfer Buttons
These buttons function to copy the parame-
ter assigned to the adjacent soft knob to the
Keypad. Transfer buttons are located to the
right of the menu display next to their asso-
ciated soft knobs.
Transform
Picture manipulation that includes transla-
tion, and also may include rotation, perspec-
tive changes, size changes, and aspect and
key manipulations in 2-D and/or 3-D space.
Translate
Movement of the picture or screen along an
X, Y, or Z axis.
Transition
An operation which changes backgrounds
and/or adds or removes titles. A transition
can be in the form of a wipe, mix, or cut.

Unity Keyframe
A part of memory used to retain user-de-
fined parameter values, like background col-
or, keyframe duration, etc. Unity keyframe
data can be recalled to the work buffer at any
time for repeated use. Unity Keyframe and
Source Memory data is independent from
one another.

Video
An electrical signal used to carry visual in-
formation.
Video Key
A self key or chroma key in which the fill sig-
nal is video from the video key source.
Video Processor
The Krystal system frame that contains all of
the video processing hardware required to
manipulate an individual image in 3D space.

Wireframe Channel
A graphical representation of a physical
channel that can be used for off-line effects
design when physical channels are unavail-
able.
Waveform Shaping
Controls the softness of the transition be-
tween the key and the video.
Work Buffer
Values for all the active functions in the cur-
rent effect at the current run time of the ef-
fect.
Y
Y
The luminance (brightness) portion of a com-
ponent video signal.
Y, R-Y, B-Y (Y, CR, CB)
A set of color component video signals with
separate luminance and chrominance.
