Section 8 — Picture Frame Menu
Sphere
Sphere is an effect in which the source video is mapped to the surface of a
sphere. Controls are provided which change the aspect and size of the
sphere, the point in source video to be mapped to the center of the front
surface of the sphere, and the horizontal and vertical scaling of the source
video to be mapped.
Press
KURL MODE
to toggle to the
SPHERE
function then press
MODIFY
to toggle
to
WRAP
or
POSITION
to bring up the following menu.
Sphere menu functions include:
WRAP
—
provides control over horizontal and vertical scaling of the source
video before it is mapped to the sphere.
POSITION
—
provides control over the horizontal and vertical and posi-
tioning of the image on the sphere.
Soft Knob controls available with these functions:
HORIZONTAL WRAP
—Controls how much of the image is mapped onto
the sphere by compressing or stretching the image horizontally.
VERTICAL WRAP
— Controls how much of the image is mapped onto the
sphere by compressing or stretching the image vertically.
HORIZONTAL POSITION
— Controls where the image is mapped onto the
sphere by moving the image horizontally on the sphere’s surface.
VERTICAL POSITION
— Controls where the image is mapped onto the
sphere by moving the image vertically on the sphere’s surface.
SIZE —
defines the radius of the sphere before it is modified by Aspect.
ASPECT —
scales the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the sphere.
