Section 2 — Controls
In general, a button goes high tally when it is fully active. Examples include
the
Picture
top menu button being lit when that display menu has been
selected, and the
Run
button being lit while an effect is actively running.
A button goes low tally when is not active, but is available for use in con-
junction with the currently active function. For example, the
Path
button is
low tally when the
Picture
top menu button is high tally, because path
control functions are available for Picture menus. Pressing the
Path
button
when it is low tally activates the path control for the selected Picture menu
function. After pressing the
Path
button it will go high tally (it is active), and
the
Picture
button will go low tally (it is inactive but can be used to return to
the Picture menu functions). The
Run
button is low tally when an effect con-
taining keyframes is idle. Pressing the Run while in this state will run the
effect.
A button goes off when it is cannot be used with the currently selected
Krystal DPM function. For example, the
Run
button is off when there are no
keyframes in the current effect, because this effect cannot be run.
Special cases of button tallies are described with each button.
