Position Modulation
Position Modulation is an effect in which the source video is position-mod-
ulated through an additive process with either a single wave train, or two
wave trains with the second wave at a right angle to the first. Each of the
two wave trains may be selected independently from a set of modulation
patterns. Soft knobs are provided which change wave amplitude, fre-
quency, phase, speed, and angle.

POSITION
— provides the following adjustment parameters:
HORIZ POS
selects a modulation pattern which displaces the source video
in the direction determined by the
ANGLE
soft knob.
VERT POS
selects a modulation pattern which displaces the source video
at right angles to the direction determined by the
ANGLE
soft knob.
MODIFY —
you can modify the following modes.
MODULATN
—
amplitude, frequency, speed, and angle control is pro-
vided through the soft knobs (see descriptions below).
PATTERN
—
choose this mode to be able to select a modulation pattern
from the two columns of

soft buttons.
PHASE MODE —
you can set the following modes:
LOCKED
—
The modulation starts at a fixed location. The wave train can
be moved to different positions with the soft knobs.
