Mode Area
Mode Area
The Mode Area consists of three mode buttons which affect editing, run,
and E-MEM operations.
Press the
Const. Dur.
button to turn the Constant Duration editing mode ON
or OFF. Constant duration maintains the effect duration while editing func-
tions are performed on the timeline.
Selecting the
Auto Run
button places the system in a mode which treats the
Keypad like a shot-box where effect registers are recalled and run as soon
as a single digit number is pressed on the Keypad. To run registers higher
than 9, press
•
(N)
to go to register bank (N). For example, register #10 is
bank 1, register 0.
Pressing the
Partial KF
button places the system in a mode that places key-
frame flags on the timeline ONLY for changed functions. This mode
permits finer control of effect creation and edit processing on a function-by-
function basis. When this button is deselected, Krystal operates in a mode
that places keyframe flags onto the timeline for ALL active functions, not
just those that have changed.
Override Area
The Override Area consists of three control buttons that allow you to over-
ride elements of a running effect.
Note
All override functions maintain their status until turned off by the user. Pressing
the Clear Work Buffer button or loading a new register will not clear any over-
ride settings in force.
Select the
Freeze 1
button to apply a Freeze Override to the current effect.
The first (#1) to two alternate sets of parameters for the Input Recursive
and Motion Detection menus are imposed on all delegated channels. This
Freeze Override set of parameters can be defined by pressing the
Freeze 1
button so it is lit, and then going to these two menus and changing the
parameters. If the system does not have the Input Recursive option, this
button works as a hard freeze using the transform memories.
Select the
Freeze 2
button to apply the second (#2) of two alternate sets of
parameters for the Input Recursive and Motion Detection menus on all del-
egated channels. This set of Freeze Override parameters can be defined by
pressing the
Freeze 2
button so it is lit, and then changing the menu param-
eters. This button is not operational if the Input Recursive option is not
installed.
