Splash
Press the
MODIFY
soft button to highlight the
SPLASH
parameter as shown in
the following menu.
The Splash optional feature is a special enhancement to the Kurl option that
allows you to distort an image into and out of the target screen by a set of
radial waves (like the spokes of a wheel).
Requirements
To perform Splash functions correctly, the RAG Warp mezzanine must be
version #066221-10 or higher. This version consists of a #066221-01 mezza-
nine that has been updated to -10 with the addition of a hardware license
PLD. The Splash feature is only enabled when the RAG Warp board is at
the proper revision and hardware license is also present.
Functions
The menu functions and soft knob controls used in this menu are generally
the same as those shown for Ripples Pattern menu (see
following changes:
MODULATION
— the
AMPLITUDE
soft knob changes the amount of radial
distortion. Amplitude values above 8 and below -8 will impose a cir-
cular clip of the splash effect. The
FREQUENCY
soft knob changes the
number of waves around the edge of the image. If the frequency is not
an integer value, a discontinuity in the wave pattern will be visible.
POSITION
— the
ASPECT
soft knob stretches the distortion pattern verti-
cally when dialed to positive values, and stretches the pattern horizon-
tally when dialed to negative values.
