Defocus/NAM
When
NAM
is selected with the
MODIFY
soft button a screen similar to the fol-
lowing appears.
COMBINE
— allows you to selectively apply defocus (using the
APPEARANCE
controls) to only the bright or dark regions of the image, while reintro-
ducing the original focused video.
NAM +
— progressively defocuses lighter pixels
NAM -
— progressively defocuses darker pixels.
OFF
— turns this feature off.
When
NAM +
or
NAM
- are selected, the following soft button appears:
NAM MATTE

ON
or
OFF
. Allows you to apply a matte to the defocused pixels
with the labeled soft knobs.
When
NAM MATTE
is
ON
, the following soft knobs and soft buttons appear:
SATURATION
— soft knob controls the saturation of the matte pixels.
Range 0 to 100.
BRIGHTNESS
— soft knob controls the brightness of the matte
pixels.Range 0 to 100.
HUE
— soft knob controls the hue of the matte pixels.Range 0 to 360.
HUE ROTATE
— this soft button turns the constant rotation function
ON
or
OFF.
HUE ROTATE SPEED
— When Hue Rotate is
ON
, this soft knob controls the
speed of the hue changes through 360°.
