Section 11 — Input/Output Menu
Matte Fill Menu
Press the Input/Output top menu button then the MATTE FILL> submenu button
to display the Matte Fill menu shown below. Selections from this menu
allow you to control the matte fill. Different matte fill selections can be
made for the front and back sides.
Matte Fill Menu Functions:
MATTE FILL — this soft button chooses between VIDEO fill or MATTE fill. The fol-
lowing controls appear only when matte fill is selected.
PICTURE MASK — this soft button turns matte fill masking On and Off. When
On, the ADJUST MASK > soft button becomes available to provide access to the
Adjust Mask menu.
HUE ROTATE — When On selects a matte which rotates in hue with respect to
time. The rotation is adjustable in either direction.
Soft Knobs used with this menu are:
SATURATION — controls matte fill chroma saturation.
BRIGHTNESS — controls matte fill brightness.
HUE or HUE ROTATE SPEED — when Hue Rotate is OFF , the soft knob func-
tion is HUE and controls the hue of the matte fill. When Hue Rotate is ON ,
the soft knob becomes HUE ROTATE SPEED . A positive setting controls
counter-clockwise hue rotation speed; a negative setting controls clock-
wise hue rotation speed.
