Section 8 — Picture Frame Menu
MOVING — The modulation is continuously moving. Speed and direction
of the wave train can be adjusted with the soft knobs.
Soft Knob controls are labeled Horizontal or Vertical, depending on the
current setting of the
POSITION soft button:
AMPLITUDE defines the modulation amplitude.
FREQUENCY defines the modulation frequency and therefore the number
of pattern cycles to appear across the source.
PHASE determines the starting point or phase of Position 1 to occur at the
center point. When the PHASE MODE is set to MOVING , the PHASE knob
becomes a SPEED control.
ANGLE defines the angle of the Position Modulation with respect to the
source X and Y axes.
Pos Mod Pattern
Press the MODIFY button to highlight the PATTERN function that brings up the
following menu. The functions in this menu are identical to those found in
the Ripple Pattern menu (Refer to Ripple menu).
Pos Mod Pattern menu functions:
POSITION — horizontal or vertical position.
MODIFY — modulation or pattern.
POS MOD PATTERN — only one of the Pos Mod Pattern menu items may be
selected at one time.
+ONLY — when ON , this parameter causes the pattern waveform to be “rec-
tified” about the level midway between the peak to peak values of the
normal waveform.
