Pressing
KF Dur.
allows you to use the keypad to enter a duration in the
work buffer that can be used to modify the current keyframe selected on
the effect timeline. After typing the new duration, press
Enter
to specify that
value on the keypad. You can then insert a new keyframe or modify the
selected keyframe with the new duration value.
Pressing
Effect Dur.
allows you to scale the length of an effect by using the
keypad to enter a new effect duration. To restore the original duration of
the effect, press
Effect Dur.

followed by the
Enter
button, both located on the
Keypad.
When selected, the
Start Time
button delegates the keypad for entry of an
amount of time to move the delegated channel and all of its Independent
Timelines off of time zero.
The
Modify
button causes the contents of the working buffer to be applied as
a change to the current keyframe or selected set of keyframes. Modify is
only active when a keyframe is included in the selected portion of the
effect. If a function is not present in the effect, and this function is changed
in the working buffer, pressing
Modify
will add an independent timeline for
that function to the effect, and it will add a keyframe with that function’s
workbuffer value to that timeline location. In non-partial keyframe mode,
it will also add factory default value keyframes for the new function to the
rest of the effect (front and back fill).
Pressing the modify button twice applies any modified function (in the
work buffer) that has been made on a delegated channel, to all keyframes
across that function’s independent timeline. If a block is marked, only the
keyframes within the marked block will be modified.
The
Insert Before
button places a new keyframe in the effect at the location of
the active cursor if not on a keyframe. If on a keyframe, then it inserts before
the current keyframe. The new keyframe is given the duration of the
current keyframe, unless a new keyframe duration has been specified.
Use the
Insert After
button to place a new keyframe in the effect at the loca-
tion of the active cursor if the cursor is not on a keyframe. If it is on a key-
frame, then the new keyframe is inserted after the end of the current
keyframe’s duration. The new keyframe is given the duration of the current
keyframe, unless a new keyframe duration has been specified.
