Page Roll
Page Roll is a transition effect with the video being mapped to an original
plane and a cylinder. This is a parallel projection to the target screen with
no perspective. Soft knobs control the page roll cylinder parameters.
The picture can roll towards the front or back of the original plane. Page
Roll may be executed as a single channel, multiple channel, or multiple
pass effect.
In a single channel execution, the source video may be applied to both the
plane and top of the cylinder. The limitation is that the succeeding cylinder
rolls will not appear if the cylinder axis is angled with respect to the source
X or Y axes. In a multiple channel/multiple pass execution, the various
channels may be applied to mapping of successive portions of video in a
multiple revolution roll for any axis orientation. The limitation is that only
the video portions corresponding to a maximum of four complete cylinder
rolls may be mapped.
