Combiner Menus
VARIABLE
— Allows the selection of the following layering options for that
stage’s Channel and Previous input signals.
Chan over Prev
— shows both Chan and Prev video signals. Chan always
has priority over Prev (i.e. Chan is in front of Prev).
Chan under Prev
— shows both Chan and Prev video signals. Prev
always has priority over Chan.
Chan only
— shows Chan video only. Prev video is suppressed.
Prev only
— shows Prev video only. Chan video is suppressed.
Chan in Prev Key
— shows the Chan video that is inside the area where
the Chan and Prev key signals overlap.
Prev in Chan Key
— shows the Prev video that is inside the area where the
Chan and Prev key signals overlap.
Chan out Prev Key
— shows the Chan video that is outside the area where
the Chan and Prev key signals overlap.
Prev out Cam Key
— shows the Prev video that is outside the area where
the Chan and Prev key signals overlap.
Chan atop Prev
— shows Chan video inside Prev’s key signal and on top
of the Prev video.
Prev atop Chan
— shows Prev video inside Chan’s key signal and on top
of the Chan video.
Chan xor Prev
— shows Chan and Prev video, except where the Chan
and Prev key signals overlap nothing is shown.
Chan plus Prev
— shows Chan video where there is only Chan video,
shows Prev video where there is only Prev video, does an additive mix
where the two video signals intersect. (NOTE: This setting may gen-
erate video outside legal broadcast range.)
Clear
— No video is visible.
Soft Knobs used with this menu include:
The
MIX LEVEL
soft knob for variable mix mode determines if only the
selection in the
FROM VAR
column (0% Mix Level), or only the
TO VAR
column (100% Mix Level), or a mix of the two selections (intermediate
levels) will be output where the input key signals overlap.
