POINT —
simulates a spotlight type of lighting effect that radiates light
evenly in all directions.
BAR —
simulates lighting from a bar-shaped long, thin lighting source.
PLANE —
simulates the glare that would be reflected from an image if a
bright light were shined on it from infinity.
OFF —
turns off
LIGHT 1
,
LIGHT 2
, or both light sources.
MODIFY
— you can modify the following lighting parameters:
POSITION —
used with
POINT
and
BAR
light sources to control the position
of the point light, or the position of some point along the bar light, with
respect to the X, Y and Z axes in 3D space.
ROTATION —
used with
BAR
and
PLANE
light sources to control the direc-
tion of the bar light, or the direction that the plane light faces along the
X, Y and Z axes. ( Setting the Rotation to 0 places the Plane light directly
behind the viewer’s head).
APPEARANCE
provides control of
INTENSITY
,
SPECULAR
DIFFUSION
,
ADD/MIX
RATIO,
and
OPACITY
through the Soft Knobs.
MATTE
— provides
HUE
or
HUE ROTATION SPEED
,
SATURATION
, and
BRIGHT-
NESS
controls through the Soft Knobs for both Highlight and Shade
modes.
Soft knobs used to modify

Note that the number before the axis (i.e. “1X, 2X”) will change to reflect
which light you are adjusting (Light 1 or Light 2). All Light Positions are
given in screen units in relation to Source Space.
LIGHT 1X POSITION

controls the X-axis location of the light source.
LIGHT 1Y POSITION
—
controls the Y-axis location of the light source
LIGHT 1Z POSITION
—
controls the Z-axis location of the light source.

controls the angle of rotation around the X-axis.
