Section 8 — Picture Frame Menu
Splits Menu
The Splits and Mirrors function allows you to divide a channel’s picture
horizontally and/or vertically, and create mirror images of the image along
these axes.
Note
The Kurl feature overrides the Splits and Mirrors feature. When Kurl is ON,
Splits and Mirrors effects will not be displayed. Make sure Kurl is OFF before
you use this feature.
The Splits menu is accessed by pressing the
Picture Frame
top menu button,
and then pressing the
SPLITS >
soft button.
SPLITS MODE
— turns the Splits and Mirror function on and off.
MODIFY
— selects which of the following functions will be modified by the
remaining menu items.
Split Separation
SPLIT SEP
— allows control of the separation between the two parts of the
split picture. You can select
HORIZ
,
VERT
, or
ALL
with the soft buttons, then
control the amount of separation with the labeled soft knobs. Separation
values are displayed in screen units, and are additive.
DOUBLE IMAGE
— When ON, fills the area of separation by extending the
interior sides of each half of the original split picture to the axis posi-
tion. At large separation values the picture will be doubled about the
axis. This control is available when
SPLIT SEP
has been selected.
