Source Select Menu
Source Select Menu
Source Selection defines where the sources for video, key, and mask come
from. Different source selections can be made for the Front or Back Sides of
the picture, or the same sources can be selected for both.
Press the Input/Output top menu button then the SOURCE SELECT> soft button
to display the Source Select menu shown below.
Source Select menu functions include:
HOLD INPUT — this is a keyframable parameter that applies to both the front
and back sides of the picture. It is not part of Source Memory (described in
Section 4 - User Tools), but resides on the Source Memory function timeline
and can be applied to each channel. When
ON , Source Memory parameters
(including source selections) will not be updated for these keyframes
during the running of the effect. This is useful when selecting sources on-
the-fly. When
OFF , Source Memory parameters are updated normally.
VIDEO SHAPED — determines how the key signal will be processed. This is a
source memory parameter that can be applied to the front and back sides
of a picture independently.
SHAPED — select when the source video is shaped. Key processing will
be additive.
UNSHAPED — select when the source video is unshaped. Key processing
will be multiplicative.
SELECT VIDEO SRC — used to select the source for the Video. When pressed,
the item pointed to by the scroll arrow is hard selected and is displayed in
the Front/Back Side area above, depending on whether Near or Far is
selected on the panel.
