Background Menu
Background Menu
Background is used to determine the appearance of the background signal
that is present outside the edges of the transformed video, or mixed with
the video when opacity is used.
Press the
Input/Output
top menu button then the
BACKGRND>
soft button to
display a menu similar to that shown below.
Background Menu Functions:
BACKGRND MODE
—lets you choose whether a background is Super Black,
Wash, Matte, or Off. When background is on, a full raster key signal is
output.
S. BLACK
—
provides a background of super black (0 black).
WASH
— provides control of a two matte color wash for the background.
(The
MODIFY
control becomes available when this mode is selected.)
MATTE
— provides
SATURATION
,
BRIGHTNESS
, and
HUE
control of a single
color matte for the background.
OFF
— background defaults to black and turns off the full raster key
signal.
MODIFY
— when
WASH
is selected you can control the wash
APPEARANCE
,
MATTE 1
, or
MATTE 2
.
ROTATION MODE
— When
APPEARANCE
is selected a soft knob is available to
control the wash
