Switcher Effects Send and Krystal Source Selection
When a Krystal system is configured with a Switcher that supports the
Effects Send feature, Krystal uses a separate Effects Send Source Memory
when the Switcher is placed in Effects Send mode. The Effects Send Source
Memory is independent of the Source Memory, and both are described in
Section 4 - User Tools.
The Switcher’s Effects Send state (On or Off) can be saved on a keyframe
by keyframe basis to a Krystal effect register. This Krystal effect can then
control the Effects Send state of the switcher when the effect is run. All
Source Memory menus indicate when the Switcher is in Effects Send. The
Switcher Effects Send states is also indicated in the Transform Timeline
menu.
Selecting any source from the Krystal menu automatically turns Effects
Send OFF. The Switcher can be put back into Effects Send by the operator
pressing an Effects Send button on the Switcher panel, or by going to a
Krystal keyframe or running a Krystal effect that specifies Effects Send.
